What's deducted from your gross salary
Two things come out of your payslip before you receive it: APIT (income tax, progressive by bracket) and your 8% EPF contribution. Your employer separately pays 12% EPF and 3% ETF on top — those don't reduce your salary, they're additional employer cost.
